TONG SUI is a specialty dessert and drinks brand based in South Bay and it was established in 2020. "Tongsui" is a collective term in Cantonese cuisine for desserts. Traditional tongsui uses high-quality and seasonal ingredients. It requires thoughtful preparations and provides health benefits. Chef and co-owner Debby was inspired by "tongsui" (the traditional Cantonese sweet soup) she had during her trip to Guangdong, China in 2019. After she came back to the States, she created the brand TONG SUI with her partner Rozanne Chen, a former product manager at a leading tech company who has also had a passion for food. They wanted to carry on the tradition, and pay homage to their culture, but with a modern twist.
Debby found her passion in cooking during college. After working in the supply chain in the automotive industry for 2 years, she finally decided to pursue her dream in the culinary industry. After graduating from culinary school, she worked at Restaurant Daniel in New York City, and Manresa Restaurant in Los Gatos, where she received training from some of the best chefs in the industry.
Carrying the philosophy from the Michelin star restaurant, TONG SUI believes tasty desserts and drinks come from combining the highest standard ingredients, immense care, and creativity. It aims to offer Michelin standard products to customers in a more approachable way. From farm to cup, the menu changes by the season. All products are prepared daily to guarantee.
